It’s Friday night, and the work week’s over. My friends and I have a standing date to meet at Los Cabos for dinner. You have to get there pretty early; otherwise, you’ll spend a lot of time hunting for a parking spot. The Riverfront is packed on the weekends.

It’s a summer night, so it’s warm outside, no jacket required. We sit out on the patio at Los Cabos, listening to the music and the chatter of people around us, watching the lights of the bridge dance in the water.

After dinner, we’ll walk around, maybe stop and check out who’s playing at the amphitheater. If it’s the weekend, somebody’s doing a concert. And there’s almost always a guitarist playing his own songs somewhere along the way. And he’s usually pretty cute.

Sometimes we’d rather make our own music, so it’s over to Twisted Tilt for karaoke…after a couple of drinks for courage, of course. Or maybe we’re craving sweets, so we head to Marble Slab for ice cream. I think the cheesecake ice cream is my favorite. Or maybe we’ll walk over to the theater to catch a movie.

Then, we’ll go to Kaffe Bona for a cup of coffee or some hot tea, sit outside, and watch the people walking by. There’s no shortage of things to do on the RiverWalk.
