Well, Jane and I had big plans for my birthday last week. I went out with my buddies, Tom and Neil, to play nine holes at South Lakes. Of course, Neil ended up spending most of his time on the putting green. Not that I can blame him; they’ve got a great one out there.

Jane and a couple of her friends went shopping on the river, and she actually bought me a cigar while she was out there. Can you believe it? I didn’t even know she knew which kind I liked!

After golf, we met up for a birthday celebration at The Melting Pot. I gotta tell you, the fondue there is worth every penny. It’s phenomenal. And the little waitress we had was so friendly!

We thought about going to a movie, but Jane and I decided to head across the river to the casino instead. You know, they’re really done a lot there in just two years! And if you ever get the chance to try the buffet, do it.

Anyway, we just played some blackjack, and even won a little extra birthday cash. Great birthday, if you ask me. Wouldn’t change a thing.
